We also offer protective and performance coatings, as required, to improve pump efficiency and prolong the life of the equipment. Where parts are obsolete or original spares are unavailable, on long lead-times or no longer fit for purpose, we can reverse engineer all parts for improved performance.

We also design and specify systems from scratch and have full 3D CAD capabilities in-house to support these projects. This allows us to work with pumps of all sizes, ages and applications, from small water pump overhauls to major repairs of large industrial pumps.

Various issues including incorrect installation, shaft misalignment, corrosion, debris or contamination in lubrication can all cause problems which can lead to decreased efficiency and, ultimately, pump failure. Our experienced engineers can assess the system to identify the source of the problem and advise on the most appropriate intervention. When  repairs are not a cost-effective option and the pump needs to be replaced, Houghton International also can help by sourcing and supplying new industrial pumps, providing recommendations and retrofitting as required.
