Overview
Houghton International support engineers at fossil fuel, metal, and industrial mineral mines across the UK to optimise their maintenance activity and improve the performance of their electro mechanical assets.
Given the nature of the work undertaken motors, pumps and generators that operate in these environments must be able to perform in corrosive and abrasive environments and a planned and effective maintenance regime and reliable emergency support service are key to achieving output targets.
With a strong pump services offering, we routinely service and repair a range of equipment including slurry pumps, submersible de watering pumps and centrifugal pumping systems including both AC and DC motors and drives. We can also support the introduction of new equipment and advise on specification to ensure specialist machinery is fit for purpose.
Our IECEx certified workshop has the latest facilities to accommodate all size machines, including a 40-tonne crane and dynamic testing capabilities and we can provide full load testing as required to guarantee performance after the work has been undertaken.
Fully qualified site service engineers can also carry out maintenance in situ and are experienced in difficult access applications. Supporting in house engineers, we offer a range of onsite services including in situ inspection, testing and fault diagnostics, installation and commissioning and condition monitoring services to enable maintenance to be planned in line with pre-arranged shut downs and minimise any unexpected downtime.
With in-house coil manufacture facilities and one of the largest burn-off stoves in the UK, we offer monitoring, planned maintenance and 24/7 emergency support. Our multi service approach allows us to provide a fast and efficient service for all rotating equipment on site and customers benefit from having one point of contact and a more efficient service.
