Water proof coil insulation systems
We developed specialist water proof coil insulation systems for use under water in a tidal generator at 50m deep. The prototype was successfully tested and completed its proof of concept testing and generated electricity at sea trials.
Hybrid-electric propulsion for commercial aircraft
This R&D project was undertaken to initially evaluate the feasibility of manufacturing high voltage coils for operating at high altitude/high frequency and high temperature.
Surge suppressor
Design of new surge suppressor winding coils, manufactured from a larger cross section of copper and using a bespoke winding manufacturing process, to the original overall dimensions, which passed all the high voltage surge criteria.
