In 1984 the Mitten family set up Houghton International to supply coils to Portland Electrical Repairs’ in Nigeria. After a few years of steady growth as a coil manufacturer, the company expanded into the repair market, and over decades became one of the most advanced repair facilities for rotating electrical machines in the UK, as our vision to become ‘the best in the world at what we do’ took shape. That vision continues to grow into a reality that none of us could have imagined at the outset. Through years of hard work, perseverance, innovation, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to our core values, we have become a trusted industry leader.
Our success is built on people. At the heart of our achievements is our incredible team. The passion, creativity, and resilience of our employees has driven our growth and continued evolution.
