Sales Administrator

Houghton International LogoWe are looking for a Sales Administrator who will be self-motivated, exceptionally organised and can prioritise own workloads. You will support the Sales team with the administration function of all sales orders from quotation through to dispatch; increasing productivity across all three divisions through generating business by building sound professional relationships with new and existing customers.

Key duties include:

  • Acting as a link between the Sales Team and the customers.
  • Building strong professional relationships with customers to identify opportunities for new and existing business; informing the Sales Team of potential new business.
  • Building in depth knowledge of customer’s individual needs and objectives tracked via CRM
  • Researching new sales prospects and reporting to the Sales Team
  • Assist Technical Account Managers and prepare and analyse information for sector plans
  • Qualifying leads on potential jobs
  • Assist the Technical Account Managers with the preparation and completion of tenders
  • Respond to, prepare and submit quotations in line with customer deadlines
  • Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data and processes
  • Maintain and develop a client database for current and future sales planning within CRM
  • Provide regular statistical reports for the Senior Management Team and Sales Team
  • Dealing with customer enquiries and communicating relevant information to the Heads of Department and Sales Team on daily basis
  • Review incoming purchase orders against quotations
  • Liaise with the Division to check on status of order
  • Regularly liaise with customers to update on status
  • On completion of the job follow up with customers to confirm satisfaction status
  • Monitor and report monthly to Senior Management and Heads of Department of customer satisfaction levels
  • Organise business travel and accommodation
  • Support the Sales Team by attending exhibitions if required
