Production Supervisor / Team Leader

Due to continued business growth we have an opportunity for an experienced supervisor to join our growing team. The HVC Supervisor is a pivotal role within the High Voltage Coil manufacturing department, providing support to the manager and HVC team members, ensuring that all departmental objectives are met.

The ideal candidate will have a ‘hands on’ approach with regards to production, as well as with supporting with training colleagues and providing advice and guidance to colleagues and customers. The ideal candidate will also have experience in a manufacturing and process driven environment and will have a strong focus on workplace health and safety, customer satisfaction, quality and continuous improvement. This role is central to our planned growth and will play a key role in supporting the coil shop as we move forward.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

• Leading on the training and development of team members, including Apprentices and Trainees.
  Controlling the daily workflow, as agreed with the manager and providing technical, quality, time management and logistical support to the HVC department.
• Conducting PDP reviews for the HVC team and supporting them working towards their set targets in a safe, timely and economical manner.
• Liaising with the manager regarding any issues or concerns with production, quality or colleagues.
• Assisting with new starter inductions.
• Working with the manager to develop, maintain and enhance process flow improvements to every aspect of the department’s work type through the Company’s continuous improvement programme.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the workshop and making sure that the HVC team keeps all work areas and facilities clean and tidy.
• Ensuring all paperwork is completed to the required standard.
• Be responsible for own personal development.
• Willingness to take on tasks that may be outside their normal set of responsibilities.
