Due to continued business growth we have an opportunity for experienced full-time HR Administrator (Recruitment) to join our team. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver exceptional support to the HR department and wider teams with recruitment requirements.

The Role

Due to continued business growth we have an opportunity for experienced HR Administrator (Recruitment) to join our team. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver exceptional support to the HR department and wider teams with recruitment requirements.

Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

As an HR Executive (Recruitment), you will support hiring managers and the HR Team in a variety of recruitment tasks.

Identifying recruitment needs, you will use various methods to recruit and network with potential candidates directly including social media platforms, job boards, networking events and job fairs.

Liaising with the HR Manager and Hiring Managers, you will assist in the design of recruitment packs, role objectives and interview format/questions, assess candidate information and provide guidance and training to managers on interview techniques.

Additionally, you will:

  • Write and review job descriptions and job advertisements, based on feedback from hiring managers.
  • Source and recruit candidates by using the agreed methods.
  • Proactively headhunt candidates for hard-to-fill vacancies.
  • Screen candidate Cvs and hold initial telephone interviews with potential candidates before arranging face to face interviews.
  • Work with the hiring manager to prepare interview and selection criteria and questions.
  • Ensure onboarding for new hires and the necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Manage candidates and hiring managers expectations while representing the Houghton International brand ad company values.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process. This will assist in building a talent pipeline.
  • Ensuring that all candidates receive feedback during and after the process.
  • Build relationships with external recruitment agencies (where required).
  • Manage references.
  • All other duties required of the role.

Typical qualities of a successful candidate:

  • Previous experience of working within a similar role.
  • Being a team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and taking responsibility for key deliverables.
  • Excellent organisational  and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and being able to work on their own initiative.

Work Pattern

Based at our facility in Newcastle upon Tyne. Standard working hours 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 3.30pm on a Friday. Salary (25k – 30k) depending on experience, with opportunity for progression.
