Duties and responsibilities:
• HV generator & motor inspections
• HV testing of generators & motors
• Winding inspections (stator & rotor)
• On-site inspections, removals & installations
Additional requirements:
• AC/DC motor knowledge
• AC/DC motor maintenance experience
• Fitting experience on rotating equipment
• Condition monitoring experience advantageous
• Experience working with white metal bearings
Typical qualities of the successful candidate will include:
• Previous experience of working within a similar role or safety critical working
• Experience in working on HV generators and motors
• Previous experience of use of HV testing
• A good standard of education including English and Maths (minimum A-C grade in Maths and English GCSE)
• Served a recognised apprenticeship or can demonstrate relevant experience
• Professional approach
• Being a team player with good communication skills
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and taking responsibility for key deliverables
• Attention to detail and being able to work on their own initiative
• Full UK driving license is desirable
