Starting out as an apprentice on the shop floor as a teenager, Michael learned the business from his parents, Ron and Christine Mitten, before taking on the Chief Executive role in 2005. With a focus on culture, innovation and product development Michael has led the company through major transformation.
Under Michael’s leadership, Houghton International has quadrupled its turnover and trebled its head count, celebrating our most successful year to date in 2018. Michael is focused on growing a sustainable business and making Houghton International a great place to work.
