Our unique Hi Vax system was created as a solution for a client.

The Background
One client in the traction motor repair industry came to us with a problem. They needed to reduce the costs of rewinding, without compromising quality in order to win a major contract.


The Houghton International Solution
Our innovations team reviewed the manufacturer's original insulation system and realised there was enough room in the slot to use an alternative solution to Kapton as the wire covering. It had to have similar thermal and dielectric characteristics, but essentially be cheaper. Hi Vax was introduced and the client won the contract.
