Trade Associations

Houghton International is a member of the following trade associations, which provide useful and up-to-date resources for electromechanical engineering and electric motor repair and maintenance.

EASA

We are a member of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association, Inc. (EASA). This is an international trade organisation of nearly 1,800 electromechanical sales and service firms in 63 countries. The EASA Accreditation Program for motor repair assures usage of prescribed good practice that helps maintain motor efficiency and reliability. The criteria for becoming EASA Accredited are based on ANSI/EASA AR100: Recommended Practice for the Repair of Rotating Electrical Apparatus and The Good Practice Guide of The Effect of Repair/Rewinding on Motor Efficiency.

AEMT

Houghton International is also part of the AEMT, which is the international trade association for all companies that supply, install, service, maintain and repair industrial machinery technology. This includes electric motors, drives, pumps, fans, gearboxes, generators, transformers, switchgear and ancillary equipment.

BPMA

Membership of the British Pump Manufacturers’ Association allows Houghton International to be recognised as an approved supplier of pumps and associated equipment, and provides access to leading edge technical support and pump technology training. You can see our members certificate here.
